On the one hand, I was relieved to hear that the federal government is doing SOMETHING to help out in this crisis. That is, identifying sources of various kinds of equipment and sending it to governors. On the other hand, her whole presentation was marked by being under a time pressure. She kept saying "I'll keep this short." And as her slides were being shown she would say "next slide" immediately after one was shown.
I got the distinct impression that Trump didn't want the country to know that anything was being done. Or maybe it was just that she and Fauci are under a strict time limit.
This is so awful. I feel like I'm living in Russia!

(7,507 posts)I thought she was helping them say why test, you can't trust the tests. Maybe I have a suspicious mind but I take nothing any of them say at face value. I'm betting in a day or two they'll say the testing isn't conclusive so let's go back to work while we look for a better one.

(70,259 posts)if she says too much she will disappear. Maybe she figures ---ike I assume dr. F. does --that she is better on the inside-as she can get a few good things in. I facilitate about that sitting on the fence.

There was certainly more of a sense of cooperation as one team instead of divisive rhetoric.
