1. Doesn't sound like anyone's doing that great a job, if 22 per 1000 is the best.

Of course, how the testing is applied can be more important that the raw numbers of people tested. We've had no organized strategy for testing here on top of the low rate.

3. Italy's popultation is 60 million and US is 328 million. US test rate needs to increase tenfold to

be on par with Italy.

If we use Italy as the baseline, US should be running 122 CV tests per 1000 people to be on par with the rate of testing in Italy. Our test rate needs to be increased.

...relative population has already been taken into account. If we got up to 22 per 1000, then we'd be on par with Italy's testing rate -- no further adjustment for relative population needed.

4. Wow...that's a great test rate. President Macron in France was 1000 tests per 1000 people.

Macron has had some factories retool themselves to create the needed test kits by May 11th.
