Donating o the Covid+19 Relief Fund?

Got this email from the New York Times:

We know many are dealing with significant changes and duress in this time. That’s why we’re partnering with organizations that are doing critical work for those experiencing hardships right now. We have launched a COVID-19 Relief Campaign through our Neediest Cases Fund, our longstanding effort to support communities in need.

Every donation goes directly to the following four organizations: Feeding America, First Book, New York Community Trust and World Central Kitchen.

If you share our ambition, you can donate now. The campaign ends May 5.

Anyone knows anything? Is it only for New York which, admittedly is the most needy?

I have been using the "stimulus fund" to send several checks (I like to send checks, also supports the Postal Service). Hope they noticed the date was April 17..

wil be diminished in about 5 weeks without donations. 10,000 people waiting for food in San Antonio is ridiculous The two food banks in my small town are religious based. Catholic and the other one even ask the recipients on their form about where and if they go to church. When they first started and sent this form around for us at my local club to see, I wanted so much to put down "hungry devil worshiper". I do thank you for putting this info on DU. I know it will help.
