Consultant on Provocative Islamophobic Film Spreads Lurid Rumors

Steve Klein, revealed as a consultant on the Islamophobic film "The Innocence of Muslims," has been tied to provoking a backlash that resulted in the assassination of US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, and three other diplomats.
Klein has made at least two appearances on the Denice Gary-Pandol radio show online and also at 1410 AM radio. The radio show is archived at the website of Strategic Solutions for a New Middle East, which is also a sponsor of the program. On the program of 03-31-2012 Klein is described as a United States Marine Corps Officer. The blurb for the program claims that:
"political correctness has undermined the military's rules of engagement, (ROEs), and lead to the deaths of U.S. soldiers. Find out what the Obama team has done to compromise our military's security, sacrificing the lives of U.S. servicemen and women in order to create a climate of accommodation with the locals in enemy territory, a place where terrorists do not don a military uniform."
Klein is introduced as having served as a translator in Vietnam hunting down cells of Vietcong and North Vietnamese Army 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine. Klein congratulations the host for her views on the Middle East, and adds that "people don't understand this is a religious war." The host warned that you cannot tell civilians from combatants in the Middle East, just like in Vietnam.
"I'm going to throw a giant Molotov Cocktail in here," says Klein, who then states that "Forty Six Afghanistan pilots who are being trained in the United States" have gone missing" and deserted, "these are supposed to be our allies, they are obviously members of the Taliban."
The idea that liberal "Political Correctness" is a form of Cultural Marxism" designed to destroy Western Civilization and help install Islamic totalitarian rule--and that President Obama is part of the plot--is widespread among Islamophobes in the United States and Europe.

Anders Behring Breivik, charged in the terror attacks in Oslo, Norway, compiled a 1,500-page Manifesto under the name "Andrew Berwick" that cites to the U.S. Free Congress Foundation and LaRouchite publications. The manifesto states that "Political Correctness" should be called "Cultural Marxism" and is the reason for political leaders allowing mass Muslim migration into Europe.
Breivik's core thesis is borrowed from William S. Lind's Islamophobic conspiracy theory about "Cultural Marxism." Lind formerly was a chief ideologue at the Christian Right Free Congress Foundation in Washington, DC. Lind later wove his theory into antisemitic conspiracy theories about Jewish Marxists.
Later in the radio program, Klein claims that he and his sources are convinced there were four Muslims about the Seal Team Six helicopter involved in the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound, and hat one of them detonated a suicide bomb causing the helicopter to crash.
