(2,163 posts)Do you not agree that Libya needs to crack down on the radicals that killed the Embassy staff?
That's called house cleaning.

So whats the point again?

(2,702 posts)I think with the amount of threats against the President the Secret Service has been dealing with, that they would probably disagree with that assessment.
former-republican
(2,163 posts)Yes I do think we have arrested and prosecuted them .
Attacking an embassy and killing it's staff is a terrorist act.
Can you name a terrorist act in our country when our justice department hasn't found and arrested and prosecuted them?
Maybe you can think of one...I can't

(2,702 posts)Bombing abortion clinics. That's a terrorist group that's for some has reason hasn't been subject to a complete housecleaning yet.

(2,163 posts)I thought the ones that did bomb clinics were arrested and prosecuted.
It's been a while since I researched this ?

(2,702 posts)If you believe certain bombers worked alone such as Eric Rudolph in Atlanta, but many believe he had accomplices who haven't been identified.

(2,163 posts)my original post was we do actively and vigilantly go after terror suspects in the U.S and abroad.
I would like to see these newly formed governments do the same.

(9,186 posts)and he will go before the cameras and denounce Obama.
He was admantly against torture and very vocal about it until GW turned to torture as a legitimite tool, and McCain waffled back andforth during his bid for Prez. The man used to have values way back in the day...now, he is a confused old war vet who needs to step down.

(3,557 posts)A guy who has seen the bad parts of war, I feel, is going to be less likely to send troops to frivalous conflicts.
If the Republicans could ever seperate themselves from the religious and racist crap, they might almost be a palatable party for me. Actually, I'll take that back. They would still be too focused on the top 1% and big business and too against social justice for my liking.
In the same light that I said there are things I liked about McCain, I guess I could say that there are things I liked about George W. - I really liked the fact that he isn't in office anymore!

That isn't true. Libyans were rushing him to a hospital. Nobody was "dragged through the streets."
Is ANYBODY going to call out that eejit? Send him this McCain quote? something?

(102 posts)I still despise McCain. There was a time I may have voted for him, until I saw that picture of him on the plane with W's arm around him...and he was just green around the gills. That was the moment I knew he had sold out. I applauded his statements yesterday, but this morning on Today Show, he's back defending Romney. Yes, I still despise him...the Maverick is dead at the hand of the neocons.

(8,377 posts)at least don't say anything to put our service people at even greater risk. I'll give McCain a little credit for that.
But better yet, just shut up. All of you right wingers. You are the ones that caused this problem.

(8,377 posts)McCain's statement was neutral and probably didn't cause any harm. If a person has to say something, then this is a pretty good example.
But the problem was caused by right-wingers. It was a right-winger who produced that video.
All the right-wingers should just shut up while the President and Secretary of State go about cleaning up their mess once again.
