Boy, McCain just changed his tune! On The Today Show he's now making excuses for Romney

and criticizing Obama's "feckless foreign policy". Yesterday he issued a very touching tribute to his friend (the Ambassador).

Today he said America looks weak.

Good thing nobody takes him seriously.

They're still freakin' Republicans. We got some truth out of them yesterday, but really, for most of them, the gripe was the timing, not the statement. They'll fall in line today until the election.

On the plus side, they can't erase yesterday. Their comments have been captured for the world to see. I hope Obama goes for the jugular at the debates.

Saw the Senate speech on Lawrence last night and thought Grampy might have come to his senses. Alas, that was too much to hope for.

on MSNBC last night than earlier in the day. He started spewing crap about how "both campaigns" were being macho and posturing. I was disappointed nobody called him out. It was either on Bashir, Tweety, or Al. I can't remember.

He knows -as pretty much everyone else does- that Romney has lost the election. So why not show you are in solidarity with Republicans when the entire point of the election is moot?

After I saw this --

I thought there was a wee bit of hope for the guy.

Makes me wonder if McCain received a barrage of angry phone calls. "Listen old man, toe the line or...'

He defended Romney and criticized Obama's "weak" foreign policy in a CNN interview.

Okay, for two seconds I had positive feelings about McCain. Of all people, McCain should know how dangerous it is to say things like that about a sitting president during a crisis.

"Feckless foreign policy"? Sounds like sour grapes on McCain's part. He not only never got over Obama beating him, but he can't stand that Obama is a strong Commander-in-chief.

He blows too hot then too cold. That's pretty much the McCain memo. He comes out all on fire than backs off when he sees he's too far from the party center. Then goes away without having aided the conversation in anyway. A few years later he'll claim some sort of leadership role for having voiced whatever side won the debate.

Crabby grandpa McCain still can't believe that young whippersnapper kicked his ass in 2008.

Since then he has gone from party elder statesman to a bitter empty husk yelling at empty chairs.
