republican attacks on biden: wtf???

republican attacks on biden are the most absurd ever. there's no logic whatsoever. in every case, biden comes out way ahead of donnie. each attack is basically a lie when it comes to biden, but *even if true*, in each case, donnie is at least 10 times worse.

1) republicans try to pretend that biden is senile, dotering, has alzheimers, or somehow his brain is in decline due to his age.

what the ever-loving f*ck? where's the logic in this attack? take one look at donnie and it's obvious he's 10 times worse than whatever they're pretending about biden. donnie's latest "drink bleach" fiasco is merely one example. donnie gives plenty of reason to think he's got huge, multiple problems in the brain department, far greater than any problems biden may have.

2) republicans want to pretend that biden is corrupt because his son got a job at a ukranian company, and biden, as a former u.s. official, um, something somehow corrupt. i guess the only legitimate job for biden's son would be, um, i don't know, republicans never say.

what the ever-loving f*ck? where's the logic in that attack? donnie overtly doles out federal jobs money to his kids, their spouses, and even their girlfriends. there's no mysterious hunt for any secret corruption connection, it's right there in the open, overt nepotism and corruption. again, even if you believe the worst of the allegations against biden, donnie is still at least 10 times worse!

3) republicans want to make hay out of an accusation of some kind of sexual nature against biden from a long time ago.

now, i don't want to be dismissive of *any* such allegations against *anyone*, but again:
what the ever-loving f*ck? where's the logic in that attack? donnie is accused of *dozens* of sexual assaults and rapes, *and* has a documented history of paying women off for their silence, which strongly suggests that there are *many more* incidents that we're not hearing about because he's suppressed them. never mind that donnie has boasted about sexually assaulting women and openly treats women horribly.

it's remarkable to me the lines of attack republicans are trying, and remarkable to me that the media doesn't ever use words like "backfire" or "hypocricy" when covering the republican allegations against biden.

donnie is consistently at least 10 times worse than biden *even* if you believe the allegations are completely true (which itself is not at all clear, and as usual when it comes to republican accusations about democrats, quite likely false or at least grossly exaggerated).

They conflate the issues and the magnitude of the issues. But from an outsider or people that aren't as informed point of view, Biden sounds bad, if not worst than Trump. It is a tactics to make people stay home, not to make them vote for Trump.

That's how it worked in 2016 against Hillary. I have no idea how anyone with a thinking brain could think Hillary is worst than Trump. But there are real people who thought Trump is lesser of the two evil and gave him a chance.

There are still independent or just people that stays out of politics in general. That's their target audience.

When I said they aren't aiming at us, I mean the people that are paying attention and know how bad Trump is.

But the amplification of Reade’s lies are aimed specifically at women on the left. You attack your opponents strengths. Not sure what’s so complicated about that.

or multiple failings, such as injecting bleach or disinfectant.

They are (the repugs) getting desperate, after all, they really don't have much to work with, being that they let rump walk away w/ no primaries/nominating process.

notice that whenever donnie feels under attack (or at any other time, really) he can get plenty of coverage attacking biden.

but whenever the media covers one of these attacks against biden, how often does donnie come up? almost never, or maybe a small mention buried late in the story.

Say anything to them about trump's history of sexual assaults, and they immediately say "Bill Clinton." They are just gearing up to let their cult have the ammo. Doesn't matter if they are blowing bubbles while they are being hit with live bullets...it's all the same to them.

really, how hard is it for a reporter to hear a republican talk about the one dubious accusation against biden, and then to ask the republican, "even if true, biden is running against trump, who has been accused by many, many more times than biden and has paid to silence women, how is that any better?"

the "whataboutism" only works in one direction - it's never what about republicans, always what about democrats.

republicans lie left and right, so they accused al gore (who previously had a reputation as boy-scout level honesty) of lying by, well, lying themselves about a truthful if somewhat boastful quote about his legitimate role in making the internet what it is today.

and the media *still* falls for it.

16. Repubs know their own candidate's weaknesses and project it onto their Dem rival
Mon Apr 27, 2020, 09:55 PM
Apr 2020

So even though GW Bush was the one with a shady and inferior military record where he evaded service during Vietnam, they smeared and twisted John Kerry's stellar and heroic service to make people think negatively about Kerry rather than Bush.

Trump has a weakness regarding nepotism and his children benefiting from his Presidency with shady business deals involving foreign entities, so they smear Biden to take focus away from the Trump family scandals. Just like they made up phony accusations against the Clinton Foundation knowing that her foundation was stellar following all the regulations with no money benefiting the Clintons whereas Trump Foundation was the one that was crooked and self-dealing.

The Repub strategy of projection plus using false accusations to turn a Democratic candidate's strength into a liability has been very successful.
