(115,735 posts)The WH can vet Bolton's book because he worked for the government, but Cohen never did.

(12,286 posts)They could tie the thing up legally saying this or that section violated attorney / client privilege.
They will throw every legal wrench they can at it.
It may still come out.
But I'd bet money it won't be prior to the election.

(115,735 posts)to a pre-publication review. The attorney-client privilege belongs to the client, but it's enforced only by the possibility of sanctions against the lawyer - he can be suspended or disbarred. The client, however, doesn't have a private cause of action against the lawyer for violating the privilege unless the lawyer discloses something that has some other legal protection, like a trade secret. And since Cohen has already been disbarred, he has nothing more to lose.

Because god knows he could easily "fall" out a basement window and break his neck. 🤬

(42,770 posts)defaud..and just "made up" property values out of thin air. One value for IRS/State tax authority ( low value) and one for banks ( high value) to qualify for loan collateral.
That was disclosed at least a year + ago. Why is no one investigating ?[]

(31,261 posts)My guess is he will have good security people around him once he is out. It seemed he would have had a greater risk in prison, but from media accounts, he is popular in there.

(46,166 posts)And, yeah, I checked Amazon to see if they had an approximate release date for Cohen's book. He's had plenty of time to jot down his memories. The "Survival" book was in the list of books written by any Michael Cohen. It looked posting-worthy for the grins.

(42,770 posts)piercing "attorney-client privilege" but more about Trump's "personality" ??
To me, it's like "no shit Sherlock"
What we, and all of the press, are still missing...the guy is psychologically damaged (classic, textbook) and we are still acting like he isn't. i.e. adapting. i.e. using that obvious diagnosis to our advantage.
Wtf with the WH press corps? (He systematically dismantled the great, true reporters). Yet can't the high powered reporters for networks/papers mentor? Feed questions?

(42,770 posts)brought out a new technique. He simply completely acts dumb when a hard question is posed. Then quickly moves on. "Are you worried about people trying to inject disinfectant and do you take responsibility?". He said something like " that's hard to believe.." and moved on - no follow up.
I would love to read an article about the ineptness of the press pool. What do news agencies think about it?
