WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!
(I had a long diatribe and then just deleted it.
I believe the above comment sums it up anyway.
Brevity is the soul of wit, after all)

THIS IS ONE TERRIBLE VIRUS KILLING THOUSANDS OF AMERICANS on top of having the coronavirus out there doing the same.

(15,124 posts)I remember the first time I saw the Vietnam War memorial in DC. It's a devastating and powerful monument to death and the futility of war. So many dead young (mostly) men. Standing at the bottom, where the wall is tallest (the Tet offensive, I believe) I found myself weeping. That was my era and some of those names were people I knew in high school.
If you have never experienced the monument, it's worth the trip. Instead of a monument that glorifies war - this one shows the awful waste in lost lives.

The world's orangest victim of his own making in his own mind.
He seriously can't understand why people can't see how great he is and everyone who refuses to praise him is being mean and unfair.
He truly believes he has done America a favor by being in office.
His equally delusional family thinks the same way.

(19,204 posts)To think that weeks ago, maybe even sooner than that, these were vibrant, active people who, for lack of proper equipment or warnings, had no idea what the near future held for them. If Trump had only taken the warnings seriously.
Appreciate what you have, when you have it, because one never knows when it will all come to a screeching halt.

(45,458 posts)it's a global conspiracy. The Italians and Spanish are absolutely diabolical partners in our vast liberal conspiracy.
Not only is New York ungratefully screwing over their hometown favorite son, but red states like Louisiana and Georgia having rural people dying to make him look bad.

(9,670 posts)Remember back in the days of lore when a President presided over all the people and not just his supporters?
Remember when the media asked questions and the President was expected to answer them?
This smugly bloated entrail has set back American democracy a hundred years, and that's being generous.
