He repeats "filler" language, but fails to offer any details or analysis.

2. At first I didn't like this blurry moving target thing he does, but I've

come to realize that it allows us to nail him on inconsistencies and to define him as unreliable and untrustworthy. The longer he blathers, the worse he looks. Bush used to get by with it because he had a reliable propaganda team around him.

I keep thinking there is something wrong with me, because I can't seem to get anything from Mitt's words. It's like he talks and talks, and there is no "there" there. I'm desperately trying to find a point, or a stand, or something, to take away from his word salad, but there is nothing.

THIS is what he does in the debates, I've noticed. He doesn't say anything, but sounds important saying it.. as if we're supposed to be impressed.

10. My speech would go like this.

My fellow Americans. I come before you as a willing participant in democracy. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink and blood is thicker than water. It takes two to tango. We shouldn't burn our bridges before they hatch. A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. It's six of one an half a dozen of another. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. A spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down. A watched pot never boils. Better safe than sorry. Birds of a feather flock together because we sometimes bite off more than we can chew so we must bite the bullet. If you can't see the forest for the trees it means you're too early to bed and too early to rise to make a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
