(10,291 posts)Yo might want to mention that Mr. Greenspan is her husband, but stop changing her name like that. Again, it's insulting to all women.

(20,998 posts)....Nancy Brinker. They sought to make the Komen Foundation into the rethuglican women's auxiliary, by throwing the health care concerns of women -- especially lower income women -- under the bus.
Now Handel is on her please-buy-my-book revisionist history tour. Fuck Handel. Fuck Brinker. This year I donated directly to Planned Parenthood instead of Komen. And as long as Brinker and her goose-stepping sycophants continue to try and use women's health care as a rethuglican bargaining chip, I will continue to do so.
Planned Bullyhood, my ass. She should have called her book: "I am a liar."

(1,788 posts)As I'm writing this....Andrea asked why leave PP when it helps so many women, why would Komen take money away....Karen Handel claims bull-pucky...she never said where the under-insured and uninsured women were suppose to go. Wow, she is a typical Republican who whines about bullying when normal people are just trying to get there voices heard. She's a wee bit angry...well, she now knows how we all felt...in her words-she was just one little person, how could she do this all by herself....Andrea actually said she was in a powerful position...hmmmmm

(20,998 posts)....just one little person? Puh-leeeze. Before she was kicked to the curb, Handel perceived herself as some type female rethuglican power broker.
Don't forget with whom Handel schemed and connived: kkkarl rove, the epitome of rethuglican low-life.

(17,528 posts)I was surprised she argued with her guest. She's improving. Maybe she got wind of DU and our criticism for letting guests ramble on and on without challenging them...especially the ReThugs..

(20,998 posts)(1) The HBO show "The Newsroom," which has generated a rabid fan base in its first season, and whose plot lines week-after-week presented a newsroom and it's staff willing to go out on a limb and challenge the status quo. This program has struck a cord with middle America. Which leads to...
(2) Middle America both realizing AND ADMITTING we've been lied to and admitting we went along just to get along. Now we've realized we're the proverbial frog in hot water and we want to jump out of the pot.
(3) The realization that the rethuglicans in power will do ANYTHING to force Obama from the Presidency, even if it takes down the national economy and hurts everyone. The US is realizing that for the rethuglican true believers it is most certainly ideology over country, and party over citizens. Not only is the emperor not wearing any clothes, the emperor is an ugly, skanky crone.

(21,925 posts)It scares me to think that what ChimpCo did to America, ruining our lives for the next 20 years, wasn't enough. Some of our fellow citizens have short attention spans and even shorter memories.
