(15,933 posts)And quite frankly thats not good. Thousands flocked to all the beaches this past weekend. Ten days ago underground clubs were going on in San Francisco. Hes good but needs to stop the masses from going against his announcements.

(11,348 posts)But (IMO) .. there's always been a calculated balancing act going on here (and for the most part the governors have played it well). The clubs in San Francisco are getting attention (deservedly) .. but a heavy handed approach has it's draw backs as well. Voluntary compliance has been the message, the method, and the preferred objective. For good reason. In many respects it just works better. And I think Newsom and the other governors are doing a good job of walking that line.

(9,998 posts)Thankfully we have far fewer than in many other states. Newsom, like Cuomo, makes me calm that they are going to do the right thing.

(411 posts)in CA and in the north bay. We are very lucky here. Just read because of the precautions taken, our county cut the curve by 75%.
Gavin has been holding our state together with science, strength and humbleness. I love my that man.

(10,419 posts)Contrast us to NYC (and I love and admire Andrew Cuomo) but can you imagine the mess CA would be in had our government not stepped in and said "STOP"?
