Crossing a picket line is no way to move women's rights forward
I always applaud the breaking of new ground for women's workplace equality, it has never made any sense that gender,
sexual orientation, age, race, religion, etc should have any part in finding the best candidate for a job.
Employment and compensation decisions should be based on skill set, education, and experience.
That said, crossing a picket line is NEVER an acceptable way to move human rights, civil rights, worker rights,
or women's rights forward.
I have been outspoken in my support of the Fair Paycheck Act and every other legislation that would give parity
to women in the workplace, but THIS IS JUST WRONG!
I would never, ever, hire for any job what so ever an individual who knowingly crossed a picket line to take the job
of a striking worker.
Shannon Eastin made a bad choice in becoming a replacement NFL umpire.
I won't watch any NFL games while there is a strike and I call upon all trade unionists everywhere to join me in boycotting
all NFL games until a fair contract is reached and Ms. Eastin and the rest of the scabs slink away into their well deserved unemployment.
