Why the hell, Ayanna Pressley, should ANYONE who is falsely accused

respond to the false accusation with EMPATHY and DILIGENCE?

If Biden is being truthful, then Reade is lying. Why should Biden empathize with her for lying? What should an innocent person be diligent about, other than proclaiming his innocence? (He's already written to ask the Senate to release the personnel records. He knows there's nothing there.)

Or is this the new rule: That no Democratic man ever gets a presumption of innocence from now on, if a woman accuses him of a sexual crime?

Democratic congresswoman and sexual assault survivor Ayanna Pressley says she wants to start an “uncomfortable” national conversation about sexual harassment and abuse — and she’s urging her party’s presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden to engage more fully in this dialogue.

Biden has been accused by Tara Reade, a former aide, of sexual assault. Reade alleges the former vice president pinned her against a wall in 1993, reached under her skirt and pushed his fingers inside her. Biden said Friday that Reade’s allegations were “unequivocally” untrue.

In a Medium blog post published Tuesday, Pressley, who was elected in 2018 as Massachusetts’ first Black congresswoman, suggested that Reade’s accusations needed to be heard.

“Our assumptions and our starting points” for conversations about sexual violence have to change in America and “the allegations against Joe Biden are no exception,” wrote Pressley, who has spoken publicly in the past about her own sexual trauma.

Maybe Biden should have refuted the charges by commenting on her looks. Saying she's not his type seems good enough for Trump to make any interest in his accusers die. The media and politicians (like her) apparently accepted that formidable logic. But when Biden denies the charges and says that those who bring forward charges should be heard but investigations should also follow, then it just goes on and on and nothing is enough.
Biden pretty much set the gold standard on how to approach smears like this: Be polite, don't question motives, don't attack the accuser and ask for an investigation so that both sides can make their case.

The way she talks about this, it sounds as if she didn't really go through all what happened and what Biden recently said. He already said what she demands. She demands that he gives a response when he already did that.
And it's particularly ugly that she says she was told to stay quiet about this. This will fuel charges of a coverup and that Dems will protect abusers when it's one of them. I'm sure she will be quoted from now on as the proof that Dems had something to hide. Why don't people take just one minute to think about the consequences for others when they jump into the spotlight to get some attention?

We've heard, in all her variations, from Tara. Depending on what version she tells. They tend to differ. We don't need any more
politicians or media (are you listening Mika?) going on ad nauseam on what ever actually happened to Tara. Here's a news
flash. Women can lie. I'm not necessarily saying she is lying deliberately, I just think whatever happened or didn't;t happen,
we've all heard all about it and most of us believe Joe. This is a woman with problems, changed her name 5 times (at last count), has sued everyone from her brother and father to her ex husband and ex boss and I don't remember who else. She constantly
keeps changing her story. And frankly, now, I think this is a woman who's thinking "wow, I'm getting all this publcity, maybe that'll
help my Go Fund page. No Ayanna, we don't need to "dig deeper" and show more empathy in the middle of a pandemic while
we are in the middle of the most important election of our time. And then she said, "I'm a strong democrat and I plan to vote for
Joe Biden" WTF? A lot of what she says is hearsay. "SOMEONE SAID BIDEN SAID SHE HAD NICE LEGS. SOMEONE SAID HE WANTED HER TO SERVE DRINKS AT A FUNDRAISER? Does anyone even think he barely remembers who she was. No one from his staff at the time can back up anything she says. Some of them don't even remember who she was. I'm a 69 year old woman and I say, just
go away Tara.
