As senators returned this week to Capitol Hill for the first time since mid-March, many were spotted entering their chambers wearing the now-ubiquitous face masks meant to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
One notable exception: Sen. Rand Paul.
The Kentucky Republican, who is the only senator to have so far tested positive for COVID-19, explained Tuesday that he doesnt need a mask because hes already had the virus.
Ive already had the virus. So I cant get it again, and I cant give it to anybody," Paul told reporters at the Capitol.

(15,137 posts)And that's not really the point Rand. It's about being cautious and respectful of your colleagues. You might still be contagious. You might pick up a second strain of the virus.
Don't be a dick, Rand.
Oh, that's right. He has no choice but to be a dick.
Never mind.

(10,220 posts)I worked in the office but when I went out in the plant I always put in my steel toed boots. Technically it was required but none of the other office people did. I figured I might as well do as the rest of the working guys.
