Unemployment rates higher in the red than blue states

“... Comparing each state’s average weekly jobless claims totals over the past six weeks to the week before shutdowns started occurring, reveals Georgia, Florida, and Alabama to be the three states showing the largest percentage spike in people applying for unemployment benefits. Georgia in particular saw jobless claims average a nearly 5,000% spike versus the week ending March 14. Florida and Alabama saw slightly less dramatic peaks, with claims surging about 4,000%...”

Figure why the pResident and Republican Congress want immediate opening of the economy. Economy over lives! Re-election over lives. Hopefully, voters can see the true faces of the narcissistic and self-obssessed pResident and the cowardly and spineless Republicans.

because of the state's f**ked up UE system. Many other who have filed have had claim rejected inappropriately. From what I've read everyone knew the system was a joke and many think it's crappy on purpose. I wouldn't out anything past Rick Scott.

having to face Reality of past Republican Administrations and their Adoption of the Heritage/Koch/ALEC unemployment rules and Regs. Thousands here in Nevada are in the same boat. Oh btw,notice all the issues with Software Not working,well most of that crap came via the same nice folks with connections to a GOP mega Donor.
