Hmm, anyone else thinking these Red State govs fleeced state UI accounts & can't pay out now?

Hmm, anyone else thinking these Red State govs fleeced state UI accounts & can't pay out now?

The openings seem very aimed at making sure people are kicked off UI roles now that I look at it.

Damn near every red state wanting to open fast including Florida, which seems to be slow walking the first payouts, doesn't look like they can afford it anyway.

The federal government gave an extra 600 a week till Aug 1 - ish ... I don't think the Red States have 2 more months of UI payments for 20 - 40 million people.

Your take?

For a discussion of the funds' solvency in the current situation see:

"California, New York, and Ohio could exhaust their funds before the end of April," Walczak said, "followed shortly by Texas, Massachusetts, Illinois, Minnesota, and a few other states that would likely exhaust these funds early in May."
