Could Iowa be the surprise pick up for Biden?

I know the competition is fierce, but Iowa seems to have mismanaged the COVID-19 crisis as bad as any state, such that it now has more cases than all of South Korea. And on top of that, Trump's insistence on blaming China has the potential for aggravating an already tense trading relationship that has an outsized impact on farmers.

I realize that Iowa is trending in the wrong direction for Democrats in the long term, but it would be interesting to see if it can go blue one last time.

an absolute fucking train-wreck. Makes Sarah Palin look like a candidate for the Algonquin Round-Table, quite honestly, and I can say that as an Iowa resident.

Pretty sure we went for Obama twice, used to have Tom Harkin as a senator and currently have 3 of 4 congressional seats.
I think we have a good chance of turning blue this fall. We already do a lot of voting by mail.

Also IIRC Dems have an actual advantage in registrations over both independents and Repugs.
