Rep Dingell: "Had we listened to the experts like Dr. Rick Bright..."

Rep. Debbie Dingell ✔@RepDebDingell

Had we listened to the experts like Dr. Rick Bright, we could have been following the path of countries like South Korea, which has largely contained the outbreak. Instead, close to 90,000 Americans are dead, over a million are sick, and we are facing economic devastation.

how serious this was and instead of being forthcoming he decided to sit on ot to prevent "panic".

Putin and Xi both tried the same policy and it was disastrous for China and Putin even admitted it was a mistake several weeks ago saying"We have nothing to be proud about in Russia's response". Curiously enough Romney yesterday or the day before said the same thing about the US response.

And coming from the Democrats its making him look pretty stupid now , and the reasons trumps failed response has done so much damage . He and the GOP have caused this , and working to put us into a depression from doing to little to late. This is the trump depression. Obama stopped ebola with 2 deaths , and trump failed stopping this virus causing 84,000 deaths , and the Obama economy he was given to collapse as we see happening now. The experts have been right , and trumps the cause of this huge failure. trump can't spin deaths . Hillary would have stopped this virus before it got here too , and protected us and the economy, trump didn't.

Trump utterly failed to provide any leadership, spewing contradictory nonsense, and paying back slights real and imagined, while ignoring the advice of the medical professionals. The people who lost jobs, lost their savings, made sacrifices to inhibit or stop the vectors of contagion has been repaid for their efforts with the back of Donald Trump's hand.

Given that so much time has been wasted initially in confronting the pandemic,
these are steps we can take right NOW to face the challenge.

It's not too late to make "better policy decisions ", as Obama said.

Don't see a lot of difference between this and another dumb ass un-elected republican ignoring an intelligence report warning of Al-Qaeda ramming buildings with airplanes. Reading and listening is hard work.
