At Home Depot In Seattle 2/3 Of The Shoppers Had On Masks (Original Post) DanieRains May 2020 OP

Stopped at a local store on the way home. I'd say 5% were wearing masks. Almost none of the employees and only a few of the customers. Lots of tight little groups of rednecks chuckling about whatever rednecks chuckle about. Just standing in the way, not giving anyone any space.

I get discouraged with the kooks in my local facebook groups...but for the most part our community understands what needs to be done. My husband had to run into Dunn Lumber last Sat to make a quick purchase to address a small household emergency. None of their staff wore masks and he said few of the shoppers did either. Needless to say we won't be going back there. I even channeled my best "Karen" and sent a Dear CEO letter. It's been almost a week and no response....Sigh

Thanks for reminding me about Yelp....I was just so annoyed and saw they had an option to message the CEO...so I went straight to the top....LOL

Too bad for Home Depot but the ones refusing to mask are putting the rest of us at risk.

Our local Costco and organic grocery stores, The Good Food Store and Natural Grocers require it. I don’t need much else.

It’s a fairly small store but it has certain items I like, social distancing In place, very few masks. The check out person asked me “If I knew anybody who has actually had it” with a little wrinkle of her skeptical nose. I told her I was a nurse at UWMC, and, why yes, both personally and professionally

I love our governor, and every single redneck rightwinger hates his guts. Makes me proud

They wipe down carts before they give you one. The floors at the registers are marked at six feet intervals. All the cashiers have shields. Hand sanitizer is at the registers. Employees are masked and wear gloves. Curbside pickup is about to open for retail. Honestly it’s awful not to be with my kids but otherwise it’s just irritating.

I have YET to figure out where to go to the bathroom though!

🤷🏼‍♀️

We had our masks as did 95% of the other customers.
There were a few workers without and a couple customers.
Honestly it was nice to be out and moving around with other people but we kept our distance nonetheless and got what we needed as quickly as we could
