FLIPPABLE: Fady Qaddoura for IN-SD30
ady's years of community service in major nonprofit, for-profit, and public sectors roles, include:
- 2010-2011: Gained experience at the Indiana General Assembly (legal and policy offices).
- 2012-2015: Served as a senior government administrator in the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), where Fady helped with the expansion of the Healthy Indiana Plan 2.0 (under the Affordable Care Act).
- 2016: Appointed by Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett as the Controller of the City of Indianapolis and Marion County to fix the citys budget deficits, which averaged $55 million per year since 2010. Fady balanced the citys annual budget of $1.2 billion, helped the city receive four credit upgrades from four national credit rating agencies (Moodys, S&P, Fitch, and Kroll), and smart-sized the city government to save taxpayers over $70 million over 3 years.
Fady is a proud father of his two beautiful daughters, Sajida (14) and Salsabil (12), and a loving husband to his wife of 17 years, Samar. Fady's daughters previously attended Carmel Clay Schools, but after moving to Indianapolis, Sajida is now a proud Panther at North Central High School and Salsabil is enjoying her studies at Merle Sidener Academy. The Qaddoura family enjoy hiking, practicing TaeKwandoo, and playing with their two rescue cats, Magic and Rocky.
