• Blamed Pearl Harbor on Hoover even though Hoover left office 8 years before
  
• Also blamed Pearl Harbor on Hawaii and their "Hooverite governor"
  
• Bombed an empty Japanese fishing vessel, claimed it was a destroyer, and declared victory over Japan
  
• Told Hawaii that he has absolute power, but they must fend for themselves.
  
• Removed troops from Hawaii because "they didn't pay" and the Japanese are no longer a threat
