Either you are part of the solution or you are part of the problem.

Do they really see a genius, a leader, someone that "tells it like it is", someone with the best interests of America at heart?

The dumb ones aren't pretending; they are brainwashed. Yes, they hate liberals enough to sacrifice their own best interests. If you don't visit and read on conservative sites, you have no idea how much they hate liberals, even more than they hate minorities. You may be amazed as to how many of them, in their perverted view of patriotism, would be willing to kill you and your family because of your beliefs. These are the same people who think that there should literally be an open hunting season on our Southern border and brag that they would love to participate. They are ignorant, proud, armed to the teeth and they fantasize about and prepare for the coming day when they can release their hate on people who have ruined their country. They have had years of grooming by the Right Wing "press." They are fanatics that are beyond logic and reason. If called upon, they would be willing to follow Trump through the gates of Hell. These people are today's Brown shirts and they are beyond redemption.

The smart ones are supporting what they perceive as their own best interests and the rest of the country be damned. They believe that their personal wealth can buy protection them from all societal problems. They don't give a damn about anything but money and the power that money can buy. Unlike the dumb ones, they wouldn't murder you, but they don't give a damn if you live or die. If you aren't one of them, you count for nothing.

19. Funny, I have been thinking the same things this morning

Watching President Obama last night-- all I could think of was, "how do Trump fans NOT see the difference? How can Trump look good to them?"

Then this morning, I saw Trump's twitter where he used the clip from "Independence Day." All I could think of was "WTF?" Then the clip of Eric saying that Covid19 would "magically go away after the election."

I don't know if I blame the uneducated sitting in their homes watching TV, or if I truly feel sorry for them. The tea-bagger types were sold out by hate radio, and disenfranchised years ago. I don't think they are smart enough to understand the decades of brain washing. However, I DO blame them for despising education-- that part I struggle with.

I cannot understand how Trump's kids friends aren't trying to warn them that if they keep on with their shit, they will lose everything. (I really don't care about that one, just a burning curiosity.) The only thing I can come up with there is that maybe being raised a "Trump," is like some sort of horrible drug-- awful, but irresistible after you have had it for so long.
