There are a lot of business and offices that are not listening to GOP happy talk.

My dog has had a long standing appointment for grooming at the dog groomer. The appointment back in March was cancelled as they had closed. Now they are open again with strict protocols. You can't come inside unless you are wearing a mask. The hand off is done with an employee wearing a mask and you take the leash home with you. They put on a disposable leash. The groomers will not come out to talk with you, but rather will call you and talk to you on the phone about your dog. Payment by phone.

The orthodontist: Only the patient allowed. Temperature taken at the door and series of questions asked. Must have on a mask that will be removed during the exam. Only one patient allowed in the office at a time.

The hair salon (I have no intention of going for a while), haircuts and color only. No other services. No styling. No blow dryers. Masks required.

I think that the vast majority of Americans have tuned out the messaging coming from Trump and the GOP. I think the vast majority of Americans are in possession of critical thinking skills and have decided that although it may be impossible to stay in the house forever, it is imperative to understand that the way of going about our lives has to change for the foreseeable future.

and she was told a few days ago that they want her to keep working from home until at least September. I am so glad her employers are taking the pandemic seriously.
