'Cuz Nancy knows. She's moved to a new level of poking him. "Morbidly obese" and "doggie poo." She knows he's on the edge and she's goading him. Way, way back when she was resisting impeachment, I thought that she was aiming for a climax this summer, to weaken Republicans heading into the elections.
And she had that look in her eye on Lawrence tonight. The metaphorical dagger is in her hand and coming out of her pocket.

We've been through a really rough 3.5 years under the trump regime. All of our worst fears about trump are playing out in real time.
I've been pleasantly surprised by Pelosi's recent appearances on cable news shows. I really appreciate her calm and sane voice during such tumultuous times. I think she should continue reaching out in this way because we really need to hear from a competent leader on a daily basis. This is why Cuomo's pressers are covered live everyday, but I would like to hear more from others as well.

Question his business prowess (easy pickin's here!) his failed education, lack of reading skills, spray-painted face and raccoon eyes.
Go for it with folks like Cuomo, Newsom, Schumer, Joe Scar, President Carter and ooohh, yes! A lot more from SOS Clinton and President Obama. Mr. Clinton could throw some sharp elbows too. A round-robin, constant and every growing chorus of loud voices reaching a peak on November 3!

something like this everywhere we can:
Trump is obviously unhinged, he needs to be removed at their convention from their ticket and declared incapacittated so Pence can can replace him until the inauguration of the next president.
Just spread something like that. Make up your own. Spread it. Try to get it to Republican ears and eyes.
Yes Pence is horrid but anything to get rid of Trump sooner.
Or just to cause dissension among them.
Everybody try it. Your keyboard is in front of you.

(58,785 posts)the people gave Dems control of the house in 2018. Admit, there has been just a biiiit of a change. I shudder to think what the Republicans would have done by now and be doing without it.
My faith's in Pelosi et al's outstanding ability and superior judgement. She doesn't go low to stick pins in that orange tub of blubber for fun. The battle for power and all our futures is enormous, and I know everything our party leaders are doing is part of a strategy.
Btw, imo helping the Republicans and the kleptocrats they serve -- and Russia -- gain control in 2016, presumably inadvertently, should have been a traumatic learning experience and created great humility in those who made that tragic mistake. Maybe you're seeing signs of it in Ocasio, but I'm not and don't trust anyone who is not bitterly regretful and anxious to learn from those who would never have made that dreadful mistake at any age.

(4,159 posts)And I, for one, don't mind seeing Pussy-Grabber's blood pressure rise.
And he's not the one pulling the strings; it's his repig allies in Congress.
But, as I said-- Nancy knows her way around Congress. We would never have gotten as far as the Affordable Care Act had she not been Speaker of the House. . . Furthermore, Nancy knows politics. Although the GOP exonerated that shit head, holding onto the articles of impeachment was smart on her part. We'll see about this in November.
But if we can take back the Senate with a Dem president, I think we'll see more progressive legislation. Too bad we've had 4 years of having unqualified and fascist judges pushed through by the repig Senate. Nancy ALWAYS knows how many votes she has and knows EXACTLY what to do. Nonetheless, this doesn't mean that it's awlays possible to stop these disgraceful idiots.

(4,159 posts)Pushing him over the edge and making him lose his shit even more than usual? Or being a master legislator?
Pushing Pussy-Grabber's buttons is great fun to watch. So, the value in that rests primarily with the viewer unless there might be (and I sincerely doubt it) fence sitters who might yet be turned off by his dumb ass behavior which is unlikely given how much he's already demonstrated.
On the other hand, Nancy is great at what she does, so this is, as one says in New Orleans, 'lagniappe', which means, 'a little extra.'
