Imagine how utterly miserable it would be to live life as a republican

/conservative/ libertarian/neocon or neolib.

We are witnessing a brash attempt (sadly far too successful) to form the culture they either seek, or feel it is as horrendous as they deserve.

It is about living in abject fear. It is about waiting to be told how and what to think. It is devoid of beauty, kindness, culture, arts, creativity. It is loud, miserable, hopeless, demeaning. It is greed, and hatred. It is feeling everyone has done you wrong; that you will never have enough. And it is joyless.

This is awful for us all to observe....bot, my, are we fortunate to NOT be them.

We simply cannot allow them to trash our world and lifestyle. Enough with them dragging it all backward to something that existed...or exists...only in their twisted, frightened, feeble minds

living in our world, our dreams, our desires.

Ironically enough, that saying that 'you make the bed you lay in' is so very true today:

They ranted and raved and and complained about the federal deficit, republicans have blown this to hell;

Foreign relations, republicans have blown this all to hell (China for example, and relations w/ other countries aren't so good either);

They profess to be on the side of the working man, yet inflation is ravishing our paychecks, and costs keep spiraling out of control, I wonder why? Perhaps our idiot president in slapping tariffs on just about everything didn't help?

They profess to be concerned about government spending, and then in the CV epidemic, realized that they cut way too much out, and are trying desperately to back out of being accused of such irresponsible cuts;

Idiots.

Have you noticed that they're never happy?

Look at the shit-spackled fuckdribbles who led an armed assault on the Michigan statehouse. They have everything they want: Donald Trump in the White House, a conservative Supreme Court, and a Republican Senate. But they're not happy; they're angry. They're white, which pretty much indemnifies them from becoming a victim of extrajudicial murder at the hands of a racist cop. But they're not happy.

The world is headed toward climate-change eco-disaster, but they're not happy about that. They're destroying the environment, but they're not happy about that. Environmental conservation, which they hate with the heat of a thousand suns, is failing us. But they're not happy.

They passed laws allowing them to take guns anywhere and everywhere, even into grocery stores, fast food restaurant, and church. But they're not happy.

I couldn't live a life of perpetual grievance. I enjoy being happy when conditions warrant it.

I could never be a Republican.

And even when they do laugh, it's a fake laugh. You can tell it's not genuine. They always seem bitter and miserable about everything and never miss an opportunity to take a shot at anyone they perceive to be an "enemy", regardless of the topic. They have a knack for making the most innocuous subjects political.

I grew up in Mississippi. I have relatives and childhood friends that are evangelical first. It seems to me that they don't care about anything else but making sure the courts are stacked with anti-any-religion-except-Christianity and Judaism. I put it that way because it isn't enough to be pro-a-Christian-nation. So it seems to me based on the things they share from very intolerant and not-so-honest websites. Otherwise they don't care about various politician's values, morals, or behaviors. Their warped way of looking at religion, IMO, makes them blind to democracy and thirsting for theocracy. Dictatorship is an acceptable alternative if it supports everything that foists their religion beliefs on the entire nation with dire punishment for any slight deviation from their dictated norm.

This is not a condemnation of all evangelicals. It is just an observation based on my family and childhood friends and acquaintances. If it is widespread, many elderly will still vote Republican since staying right with their God is eternal and democracy, in their lifespan, is not. They don't seem miserable but, rather, somewhat entranced/enraptured.

no mention of feudalism.

Baby steps to accomplish this abominable worldview. We are on our way.

They are indeed attempting to REDEFINE language and the pursuit of truth (and happiness). This is very real and don't think for a minute they can not succeed. They have thrown all of their eggs into this carriage. No turning back for them. We just need to win this election which may turn out to be too little, too late. Remain vigilant and, I suggest, ARMED.

I know these people ... WELL.

.

They allowed themselves to be controlled, by their own ignorance and stupidity.

They know something is not right, but have acquiesced their power to others, while claiming to be in control.

Walk past homeless people without seeing, without caring.

Look at the virus death count as an interesting statistic. We're number one! USA! USA!

I'd be absolutely positive, in my white male way, that women need to be told what to do with their unteri.

On Sunday, sing "Onward Christian Soldier" without a care as to the devastation.

Reminisce about days when the Pittsburgh air was thick with smoke from steel plants and everything was coated with coal dust.
