Among Rumored Vice Presidential Candidates, Warren Would Give Biden the Biggest Boost

Electorate is split on the Massachusetts senator, but she would help Biden with minorities, voters under 45

26% say placing Warren on the ticket would make them more likely to vote for Biden; 23% say it’d make them less likely.

Her positive impact on Biden increased among black and Hispanic voters and those under the age of 45.

Several potential running mates lack name ID at an early stage in the process.

The numbers and polling data are conclusive on this.

Harris’ record as a prosecutor — which she pitched as a strength in a potential matchup with Donald Trump in the general election, but swung back and forth between emphasizing and deemphasizing as her campaign went on — also bothered some black voters, especially black men.

Except a Trumpie and get our vote.

That said I love Liz and would be excited if he picked her.

There would be a special election, but if Charlie Baker decides to run himself, he'll win, there goes a Dem seat. It's way too dangerous to take a chance.

And, she finished 3rd in her own state.

But Warren helps the most. The good news is that she's a mostly good debater and a decent campaigner. Also, she will bring a lot of enthusiastic supporters.

So if this poll is indicative of a strength that is unique to Klobuchar, that’s a major point in her favor.

Do we really want a ticket with an average age of 74?

If either of them gets anything more serious than a head cold it'll make the ticket look far too vulnerable.

FWIW, I think selecting a woman is a good idea but it was a terrible decision to exclude 50% of the population from consideration.

There has to be some dynamic, exciting Attorney General or Representative that can energize the under-50 crowd.

a ton of weight to polls on something like this.

People are actually not great at saying how they would act in a hypothetical situation. It's the same reason why a candidate usually polls lower before they win a nomination rather than after. People who might say they would not support a particular candidate "come home" when they actually become the nominee.
