This issue is a big one for his base and he can cite how social media went after him so now he's doing something about the problem they feel is rampant and is impacting their First Amendment rights. Of course, they know almost nothing about the First Amendment and how it does not shield them from private entities which remove or edit their lies, disinformation and propaganda that have been posted on privately owned websites.
