BREAKING: Governor Walz "deeply apologizes for what happened; working to have CNN team released"

"It was totally unacceptable and totally inadvertent. They clearly had the right to be there. We want the media there to cover this. It is never acceptable for this to happen."

I just re-watched CNN Don Lemon's commentary from last night.

I just appreciate this man & his craft.

This was to send a message to the news media. As poor as CNN is at their job generally arresting one of their crews was all about stifling coverage of the protests.

CNN's Josh Campell, who also was in the area but not standing with the on-air crew, said he, too, was approached by police, but was allowed to remain.

"I identified myself ... they said, 'OK, you're permitted to be in the area,'" recounted Campbell, who is white. "I was treated much differently than (Jimenez) was."

Jimenez is black and Latino.
