The torch has passed here in Ohio. A couple months ago, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce held the record for spending the most outside money against me on Ohio TV. But the Chamber just lost its place at the top to none other than Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS.
Crossroads GPS is on the air...again...attacking my record. Their new buy is for an eyebrow-raising $1.1 million for a single week. With that under their belts, Karl Rove’s smear machine has spent more than $6.2 million churning out lies all by themselves.

I’ve been called “the hunted Democrat,” but the truth is that I’m not the only one under attack here. This campaign is powered by grassroots supporters like you. And everything I do is in the interests of middle class families in Ohio and across the country.
An attack against me is an attack on preserving Medicare and protecting women’s rights. An attack against me is an attack against ending dangerous practices by Wall Street mega-banks and ending subsidies for companies that ship jobs to China.
An attack against me is an attack against the middle class Americans I represent. Karl Rove, the Koch brothers, the special interests -- it may be my picture they put in the ads, but it’s all of us the special interests are attacking. And so far they have spent more than $17 million doing it.
