I feel like we could be witnessing the beginnings of war.

Look at it this way - all of the major wars in history going back to WWII, WWI, the Civil War, on and on, were all the collective workings of a powder keg waiting to explode. And each one had something that lit the match that caused it to go off. We may be witnessing that here. Let's face the facts first. The entire world and not just the US, is getting restless and demanding answers about COVID, the lockdowns, and where society is headed in this bizarre world that is being overrun by the virus.

And let's also face the facts about what is happening in Minnesota and elsewhere around the country. For the last 10 years, we have been witnessing some just absolutely horrible atrocities being committed by law enforcement. Even wannabe law enforcement, whether it's George Zimmerman, Dylan Roof, or Derek Chauvin. It's like playing a game of Russian Roulette. We've seen people get murdered in their cars in front of their wife and kid - nothing. We've seen people get murdered in the street - nothing. We see people call the cops on people just for hanging out - nothing.

But the George Floyd situation may have been the spark that lit this match, and it won't be going out next week. Why is that? For one thing, we are a country currently being controlled by an absolute mad man. And he has enablers at every level of government, whether it's the Senate or the House, or down to the local level in law enforcement and your school board. Not only that, the so-called president is enabling the absolute worst in society. Armed militias, and "patriots" and gun nuts, and greedy corporate CEOs, and batshit crazy religious zealots. These are his base. Derek Chauvin? He was a Trump supporter. He could be seen right in the front row behind Trump during his Minneapolis rally in January!

Add to the fact that we're still in the middle of a pandemic. COVID is not going away. It's not like we can snap our fingers and society is going to be back to us back at our jobs, eating donuts in the break room and socializing with coworkers about our weekend plans next week. And all the shit that we've had to endure since social distancing began? It's being weaponized by that guy in the White House. If you go outside wearing a mask and keeping your distance, you're the spawn of Satan in their eyes. If you tell them to wear a mask, they will treat you like absolute shit in return.

So let's combine these two things. The George Floyd incident could not have happened at a worse time. And the COVID pandemic is a bad situation that is affecting literally everyone on the planet. There's no aspect of our lives that hasn't been changed by it. The George Floyd situation may have caused the proverbial powder keg to explode, and there may be no going back. But all of this is being made worse by the fact that the government is being run by a group that wants a one party rule, and a mad man who doesn't care about anyone but himself.

Not only that, Trump has been enabling the worst of us through an series of "wink wink nudge nudge" kind of hints about this sort of thing for the last 3 years. He wouldn't condemn Charlottesville because they were his people. Or a boat owner gets involved with a fight at the yacht club, he'll post that shit if the MAGA flag flies proudly. But the protestors in Minneapolis and around the country? They're thugs. His detractors? They're hysterical lunatics. It's that kind of me-ism that is making this spark ignite even faster.

Could we avoid the inevitable? Absolutely. The thing is nobody knows where current events are headed. They could get better or they could get worse beyond repair. The biggest factor is that we have a president who is enabling the absolute worst in society and this could get very ugly. If we had a president in the White House who cared about the people instead of himself, things would look way differently. We can stop the powder keg from exploding, but it will take a lot to do that. But it can be done.

But BLM scared the hell out of a lot a white people. Trump played on that. The Russians did too. We white people do some stupid crap when we get scared enough.

With a "wink wink nudge nudge" kind of attitude. You can see this in his latest series of tweets.

Most don't know how much an ethnic mutt they are or care.

Some like me find it interesting that I have some different ethnicities in their heritage. I am neither afraid or disappointed it just is what it is.

Deny as they may what hateful darkness is in their heart, it scares the crap out of white supremacists that they might be on the receiving end of it when the white folks become a minority.

They are afraid that brown folks will harbor the same hatefulness toward them that they carry. Cowards the lot of them.

It seems Trump's agitating for war with China. What we're seeing, though, is revolution from within.

Because some guy got killed in the market or something somewhere? I have this distinct recollection of it igniting a Powderkeg, but I could easily be wrong. Ask my wife she’ll tell you, I once asked her if in 31 years I made a mistake and did some thing absolutely correctly.

And guess which side Trump chooses? It's like he tries to come up with the wrong answer to everything. He might be the spark that ignites the powder keg.

2018 midterms, and our primaries and special elections to date.

And 2016, tragically as it turned out. That election was subverted and stolen by enemies foreign and domestic; Democrats were far ahead for two years, all polls showing strong majorities rejecting Trump and what the Republicans had become -- until close to the very end when things got very, inexplicably strange, even more than FBI and MSM subversion could explain. Even with international and domestic subversion from both right and left, a strong majority voted Democrat.

ALL those prove big majorities are choosing responsibly for responsible government. And if we're going to use the word "inevitable," let's use it correctly: WE include strongly committed members of virtually all minority groups, outstandingly AA, who have used the immense power of democracy and majorities of Americans to create the enormous and inevitable advances that have created this rabid reaction from the consistent and inevitable losers of their own contemptible "culture wars."

There was even one here that didn't turn violent until the cops showed up, and then only the cop cars were the worse for wear, along with people in the neighborhood who had to close their windows on a hot night as the tear gas wafted over them. I sincerely hope whoever called the cops got a big lungful of it.

If BFE NM had one, I imagine most cities are seeing them. And yes, this was the worst time for an overly macho cop to kill somebody for the crimes of being black and very tall. Things are feeling very powder keggy even here.

It's not POC who are spoiling for this fight, it's white males of a certain political and religious persuasion. They're everywhere and I've never felt it this strongly.

They are most often the bullies.

I grew up in the military where black people were usually treated equal. I miss that atmosphere so much.

The racists lost.

Time to sweep them up and isolate them where they can do no more harm.
