Obama Launches Aggressive Effort Against Mitt Romney In Battleground States

BOSTON (AP) — Sensing an opening on the economy, President Barack Obama launched an aggressive new effort Saturday to convince voters in the most competitive states that Republican rival Mitt Romney is risky for the nation's recovery with a plan that caters to multimillionaires over the middle class.

"They want to go back to the same old policies that got us in trouble in the first place," former President Bill Clinton is shown saying in the 60-second TV ad set to run in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, and Virginia.

"We're not going back, we are moving forward," Obama adds in the commercial.

...

The fresh Obama push, coupled with ads this past week by both candidates squaring off over China's impact on the U.S. economy, comes seven weeks before Election Day and as polls point to modest gains for the president following the national political conventions. Both campaigns say they expect the race to be decided by eight or nine states.

He realizes there is essentially a month and maybe a week left in this campaign. Most always the polls solidify in the middle of October and I can't really ever remember an election where the challenger overtook the incumbent in the polls after that. Romney's window is slowly closing and Obama wants to slam it shut with this ad buy!

We have an older Clinton one still running here in Philly. May have been part of a big buy awhile ago. So far, no Rmoney ads thank goodness (I know he claimed he pulled them but am leary... we'll see).

Excellent Ad.. The Obama Team have to make these Educational Ads just to keep up with MittLIES and lack of the "media's" education of the American People.

Chronicling Mitt's Mendacity, Vol. XXXIV

A Washington Post/ABC News poll out today shows a plurality of Americans believes the Obama campaign is saying things "it believes to be true" rather than "intentionally misleading people." On the other hand, a plurality of Americans believes the opposite about the Romney campaign.
