GOP lawmakers say Romney campaign needs to change course
By Alexander Bolton

Republican lawmakers are grumbling about the direction of Mitt Romney’s campaign and say he needs to change course.

The complaints come as polls show that Romney lost ground on President Obama following the party’s respective conventions in Tampa, Fla. and Charlotte, N.C.

The GOP members say Romney must do a better job of communicating to voters what to expect of him, either by making a bold pledge akin to George H.W. Bush’s 1988 “no new taxes” promise or fleshing policy proposals with more details.

...

Some GOP senators are worried that Romney has yet to give voters a clear vision of what to expect if he is to become president.

Another GOP lawmaker said the aura Romney’s advisers are trying to create around the candidate has muddled the most compelling rationale for his candidacy: he is a no-nonsense problem-solver who can turn the economy around.

they haven't played fair in so long they can rationalize any ploy as protecting our country, and now that corporations have been given a free hand, it scares me.

that would require Romney changing who he is. That isn't going to happen.

The only thing he seems to care about is his money.

He is a political naif; but he won't believe that. Remember after being destroyed in a debate he hired a new debate coach and then won the next debate. Then he fired the debate-coach because the coach was getting too much credit. He's a complete asshole.

It's so much more than vagueness of policy. It's Bain Capital's history, it's his record as a Mass. Gov., it's his stint as Olympic games savior, it's his lack of personality, lack of truthfulness, lack of honesty, the constant lying, refusal to release his tax returns yet has no problem demanding others to release theirs.....it's everything.

Policy vagueness is just a very small portion of Mitt Romney's weaknesses.

He's a flawed candidate. Not fit to muck a stable much less run a country.

I really have been stunned by the appalling clumsiness displayed by the candidates and their campaign advisers/spokespersons. I don't think I have EVER seen such a poorly managed, poorly prepared campaign before. It is mindboggling to me in some ways.

What can we expect in 2016? Who could be worse than Romney? It's possible that the GOP will be so disorganized and distressed that Santorum will step in to fill the void, thereby completing the destruction of the GOP.

They act like they know but that Romney only needs to tell the peoples. They don't know fuck.

Why? Because Romney himself doesn't know fuck. He hasn't planned anything beyond winning. He expects his masters will tell him what to do.

Taxes........the poor and middle class should pay more, giving the "job creators" bigger tax breaks.

foreign policy.....bomb the hell out of everyone until the whole world bows to us in defeat -- the neocon wet dream.

Social Security....Privatize it! Give that trust fund to Wall Street!

Medicare....You mean Vouchercare? Give the Medicare trust fund to the insurance companies!

Is it any wonder his asshole is being vague? It's his best change of winning.
