This opinion piece is in poetic form with accompanying photography. With some of their content behind the paywall and some not, I apologize in advance to anyone who can't get to it. The piece would be difficult to cut and paste a selection here because it is one or two lines of text between photographs. It would also lose its impact.
If someone knows how people without a WaPo subscription might be able to access it, please comment.
Mr. Peçanha, the photographers, and the WaPo editors did a phenomenal job. It is haunting and absolutely correct. I agree with them that this is the real reason for Trump's stunt on Monday evening.
