As a City Councilman, I have spent a lot of time speaking with the community before making decisions. We are a team. I am one voice for many, and that voice must be inclusive. I could not do my job without the input of those who are most affected. As a Union Steward, I spent a lot of time advocating for worker's rights and safety, grievances, and contract negotiations. I have, and never will ignore someone that has an issue that needs to be addressed.
As a Father, Husband, Veteran, Union Heavy Equipment Operator, I live the same issues and have the same concerns as our District every day. When I say I can relate, I truly mean that. Because I am not a lifelong politician, but a member of our community.
