(31,261 posts)From what I get from reading the accounts of people that get hospitalized with it, once you have had it once, you don't want to get it again. My guess is that people that survived the first instance take extra precautions not to get it again.

(903 posts)Every time this has come up before, it has not been true. So, I'm skeptical unless someone can point me to an actual study with, you know, evidence. De Blasio saying it doesn't make it true.

(15,220 posts)...and I don't mean just for antibodies, but for currently having the virus, but I don't think it has been reported that anyone has had serious symptoms a second time.

(31,261 posts)One guy in China was said to have gotten infected something like four times, I guess Darwin was too busy to deal with him, at the least, if he shows up infected again, they should brand "dumbass" on his forehead.

Could be a faulty test. Could be the virus was never fully cleared the first time. Could be it's just antibodies and not the actual, live virus.
The consensus so far is you can't be reinfected, but that's subject to new information.
