(2,065 posts)If its a blood vessel issue that helps lead to pneumonia, then maybe they can prescribe to lesson severity of blood vessel complications.
Or maybe the use of remdesivir is helping.
My neighbor, a hospital nurse, told me a couple months ago that they started proning COVID patients. Laying them on their belly helped get air to the lungs. That alone improved prognosis.

(34,074 posts)So deaths probably aren't going down significantly - The lower deaths today may be a reflection of last week's signifiant drop in average new cases (about 2,000/day).

(2,193 posts)Numbers have been dropping, but the count is predictably variable by day of week over the course of these past 2+ months.

(1,603 posts)Best to look at six-day moving averages. Deaths are waning, on average, but not quite dramatically, and reporting tends to drop off during the weekend.

I fear that since they haven't come up with any way to treat it, that the numbers will start to climb.
