Some reporter in dc today mentioned basically that the protesters had given up trying to reach the prez and were moving to community action. Basically — as it struck me — acknowledging he’s irrelevant and useless and getting down to getting things done.

And Trump's response is just making that more so. In a way it's good because the lack of effective leadership means the odds that this time the protests will actually achieve some real change is greater.
