Another stolen election coming up?

Key red states are controlled by Republicans. And the rules for voting belong to the states.

How many red states do you think are going to approve vote by mail? And those that don't mean that voters are going to have to show up at the polls, amidst a pandemic, and (because so many polling places have been closed) wait for countless hours in the November cold.

The Republican vote suppression attack on democracy has been going on for many decades. "Cleansing voter rolls," closing polls in minority areas, "poll watchers" who are there to intimidate minority voters, "lost votes," machines that switch votes, and who knows what Putin and his American allies are doing to ensure another Trump "win?"

And let's not leave out the gerrymandering that has been in place for ten years since the last census.

We can't wait for election day to act. We must do everything we can right now to ensure that we don't have another stolen election. And let's face it. Every Republican elections in this century has been stolen. In 2000, the Supreme Court appointed George W. Bush. In 2004, Ohio was stolen which gave Bush a second term. In 2016, the orange beast "won" under circumstances that would not stand up to even a cursory investigation.

So what are we going to do to prevent the creature in the Oval Office and the Republican Party from stealing the November election? The answer is a blue wave, so huge, that the numbers aren't even close. Hillary won in 2016 by three million votes. This year, let's make it 6,000 votes, or 10,000 votes, or even more. Let's make it impossible for them to steal it. Let's make it apparent that, if somehow they manage to circumvent the will of the vast majority of Americans, that they won't get away with it. Let's make it apparent that a small minority of thugs cannot steal America again. Let's make it apparent that we won't allow it. Let's make it apparent that it won't stand. Let's make it apparent that WE THE PEOPLE will end American fascism once and for all.

8. Republicans in Florida love vote by mail

I think only president trump hates vote by mail for others. The only thing that we need to tighten with vote by mail is final results. We still are waiting on some results from last weeks Tuesday primary. How long after November 3rd will we have to wait to find out whose president?

2. A lot of states have vote by mail

and some if not many of them are red states. Some have more requirements and others not. Here in red state Kansas we can vote by mail any election for any reason or no reason and we do not have to report why we want an absentee ballot ever, not just now. It has been this way for as long as I can remember but I have never used it.

I have sent off for mine for the primary and will send off for the general soon. I will miss the little church down the road in our small community and chatting with the ladies but this is important for now until we fix the way we all vote.

4. Here in Florida, we also have vote by mail

I've been doing it for years.

Nonetheless, Florida has a disgusting history of votes being "lost" and this fact only comes out many months after an election.

Three counties in Florida are heavily Democratic - Miami Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach, - and between them, they have a majority of the state's voters. But Republicans control most of the levers of power in Florida and nothing will change here until they are perp-walked out of office. Most of us in FL aren't holding our breaths for that to happen.

In short, Florida is a blue state being held hostage by thugs.

was not perp walked.

I get that, I do not think Kansas is a blue state being held hostage but it is mostly a fair state however the Kochs worked their magic here first and we are now in the same space you are in. Our legislature is horrific and will likely remain so. We are sending this country a wonderful gift (I am afraid, the polls are within one point) of a new Senator KKKobach. IF he gets through the primary and he looks like he might, he is one point ahead of our Dem.

So far as to polling, VP Biden needs overwhelming numbers over shithole, especially in EC's states to defeat the strong potential of republicans stealing it again.

12. You do understand that there are Democratic governors in the states that gave Trump

his EC win...Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Biden is ahead in all those states. You all just have a general 'concern' but honestly it makes little sense.

5. We expect the repub election fraud.

Because we've seen the tactics before. But what really concerns me is in spite of the degree of malfeasance of this administration, repubs are not trying to distance themselves from 45 at all. One would expect their political survival instincts would have kicked in by now. And it makes me wonder what new election fraud tactics might be in the works. They seem to feel extremely confident that they are electorally untouchable in spite of the polling. Defies logic.

9. Right and we've even got all these people on DU saying "Oh Trump will lose and Biden will kick him
Mon Jun 8, 2020, 11:04 AM

out of the white house, no big deal, you all are freaking out over nothing."

Except for that if Trump doesn't lose and cheats, who is there to hold him accountable for it? Who is going to investigate him, the Repube governors? The Supreme Court?? Barr?!?!? lol

This is exactly why Trump built the fence around the white house and is experimenting with additional security and guards. He knows there is something major that's going to happen and he's planning for it, and if he cheats and "wins" Biden doesn't have any power to have him removed peacefully.

and will provide us a EC victory. But I think we are in landslide territory and may have surprise victories...stop with the doom and gloom. It only helps Trump. We also have a Democratic governor in North Carolina by the way.
