Colin Powell just called out every Republican in Congress

(CNN)The big news out of Jake Tapper's interview with Colin Powell on Sunday was that the former Republican secretary of state would not be voting for President Donald Trump in 2020.

But, something else that Powell said about Republicans in Congress -- and their relationship with Trump -- is what caught my eye (and ear). Here it is (bolding is mine):

"I watched the senators heading into the chamber the other day after all this broke, with the reporters saying, what do you have to say, what do you to say?

"They had nothing to say. They would not react.

"And so we're not a country of just the president. We have a Congress. We have a Supreme Court. But, most of all, we have the people of the United States, the ones who vote, the ones who vote him in and the ones who vote him out."

1. Since Powell supported Obama, they already believe he has no credibility.

They don’t like Powell and see him as the “enemy” so unlike most, I put little faith into the idea that Powell’s endorsement of Biden will amount to anything.
