and he really does think he's smarter than everybody else, so he undoubtedly thinks he could take Biden in a debate (ha!). On the other hand, he might decide that the debate moderators are "unfair" and demand that they be replaced with the likes of Hannity or Pirro, or else he won't do it.

will put some criteria out there that Biden could in no way agree to. Such as all debates on One America Network.

BTW - does the "maybe/depends" choice mean Spanky might do it if he can wear Depends for the debate? (I couldn't pass up that chance at a cheap laugh)

The number of people interested in hearing what he has to say is decreasing by the hour. Why let him have a chance at getting anyone interested again?

I want to hear (I know, the chances are slim and none, ratings being ratings), "we have decided not to hold a presidential debate this year because the likelihood of getting facts from Donald Trump to support his arguments is negligible. If anyone is finding it difficult to make a choice at this point, no debate will make things any clearer for them."

I remember Biden absolutely crushing Sarah Palin in the 2008 VP debates, only to hear from the media how well she had fared.

If Trump would debate and was judged on the merits of his performance...he would be ridiculed.

But this is the American press we're talking about. Trump could pee in a cup and they'd declare it to be superior to Joe Biden (It's new, it's bubbly, it's not 90 years old like the Democrat candidate, they would say)

At least that's the impression they've left with me for 20+ years.

His attitude is always that the next thing he will do will fix everything, and that he can win everyone over with a great debate performance (that will not materialize). Second thought: If he is absolutely being destroyed in the polls, he might not but his justification for avoiding the debate will be interesting to hear.
