I *thought* it was gonna be online traffic school...

Got pulled over in Dec to find that my license had been suspended for an OLD AF fix-it ticket that didn't get processed. The DA then sent me a letter that since this could be a misdemenor and they could prosecute me, they'd let me off the hook and the fines - if I paid a smaller amt and took the class.

Great, I can do that.

So there's all these rules you have to let the slideshow play through and can't skip ahead, take notes cuz you gotta pass with an 85%

The name of the damn class was "Lifeskills"
It was basically a 7th grade psychology class on self monitoring and behavior, values and goal setting...how to take responsibility for your actions and not end up going down the wrong path (and staying out of jail implied)

I was thinking how funny it was and then it hit me that this class would also be offered to some guy who shoplifted, or graffiti'd...etc.
Then I thought how it was so dumbed down, like people in bad neighborhoods (POC) can't make good choices and don't know what the heck "values" are

kinda racist? or am I just seeing this all through a different lens now?
