It was all true.
But it put Obama in a really bad position during an election. Obama had no choice but to denounce it, if he was going to get elected president.

(14,574 posts)to continue its lies and rationalizations. Wright did indeed speak the truth. The sad thing is that we will never really be a great republic until we come to grips with that, but once we do, and once we get rid of capitalist corruption, we really could be a great republic.
I'm glad O is starting to speak out now. He inspires many more than the right wing would have you believe. He inspires me.
