And we haven't yet factored in the upcoming Stephen Miller-authored speech on race relations. Turd is tanked.

6. Miller's "race speech" will hurt Trump's poll numbers no matter what the message is.

If it's too conciliatory (not very likely) Trump will lose support among his racist base and the police. If it's too divisive (Trump being a total asshole) he'll lose support everywhere else. Either way, his numbers go down.

I'm really torn between watching or not watching Trump's "race speech." I might have to wait for Sarah Cooper's reinterpretation. These days it's the only way a sane person can listen to Trump's words without experiencing the urge to gouge out one's eyes.

39% is as low as he's been since 2018. Going the opposite direction as Presidents who get re-elected. Summer before the election is when Obama, Bush, and Clinton all saw their approval ratings head back up.

Gallup has him at +1 (49/48) in mid May. This represents a slide of 19 points in net favorability over a ~2 week span.

Very clear to me that racial issues and his handling of protests is much, much more damaging to Trump than COVID-19 is. We need to keep him talking about this, we trounce him in this category.

Its the highest differential since his government shutdown in February of 2019. He had climbed to under 5 as people seemingly tried to rally together in crisis at the onset of covid, but his disastrous response along with his embarrassing response to the George Floyd crisis has him in free fall...
