President Donald Trump's campaign is demanding CNN retract and apologize for a recent poll that showed him well behind presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
The demand, coming in the form of a cease and desist letter to CNN President Jeff Zucker, was immediately rejected by the network.
"We stand by our poll," said Matt Dornic, a CNN spokesman.

(82,849 posts)And he was much closer to 50% approval than the CNN poll showed, so CNN was clearly reporting a fake poll!
Be sure to taunt any trolls or Trump humpers of your acquaintance with this little tidbit. They tend to forget their hero's little peccadilloes like this.

(12,712 posts)The Orange Furor demands the RIGHT poll numbers, not the real ones. Of course!
Yes, Sire, we will get on that right away!
To those people who voted for this egregious mess and are still shoving Trump Suppositories(tm) up their asses in an effort to not admit they were very wrong, and who still poll for support, did you know that there are countries you can go to now that already have some form of totalitarian/authoritarian system in place, where you can see an even better reflection of yourself in the Great Leader?
You really don't have to go to all this trouble to take down our system and I am certain you can find the right regime for you ready to enjoy with plenty of people to hate and persecute.
Maybe we can do a GoFundMe to assist the migration? Get some travel brochures made, commercials, etc.?

(10,125 posts)the CNN poll is "designed to mislead American voters"
But his 18,000+ lies and misleading statements as President do not mislead American voters?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/04/14/president-trump-made-18000-false-or-misleading-claims-1170-days/
Maybe he should take care of those first before he starts going after others.
Of course, his letter claiming such a thing is as misleading as his previous 18,000+ lies and misleading statements:

"Several other polls released over the past few weeks -- including polls by ABC News/Washington Post, Monmouth University, NPR/PBS Newshour/Marist College, NBC News/Wall Street Journal, Quinnipiac University and Fox News -- also show Biden well ahead of Trump. These polls, averaged with the CNN poll, find Biden up by double digits, a result well outside any margin of error."
RealClear has Biden up +8.1
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_biden-6247.html
Biden is way (double digit) ahead in these other recent (last month or so) polls:
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/national/
Monmouth +11
The Hill (right leaning) +10
Data for Progress +13

Ipsos +10 (June 2)
Morning Consult +12

They're arguably corroborated by Trump's approval numbers which have sagged to -12.7

The virus is going to make a come back with the opening up of states. Almost half the states are on the rise.
Trump has lied about employment numbers but he won't be able to cook the books on the lack of consumer spending and what the lack of pay is going to do to the upcoming economy.
The only way for Trump and the GOP now is to steal the election.
