Bill Barr was a hign school bully.

Childhood bullies have a predisposition to become adult bullies, research shows, and, sure enough, it seems Attorney General William Barr was a teenage bully more than 50 years ago.

Back in 1991, during Barr’s confirmation to be George H.W. Bush’s attorney general, lawyer Jimmy Lohman, who overlapped with Barr at New York’s Horace Mann School and later Columbia University, wrote a piece for the little-known Florida Flambeau newspaper about Barr being “my very own high-school tormentor” — a “classic bully” and “power abuser” in the 1960s who “put the crunch on me every chance [he] got.”

Nobody noticed the Flambeau piece at the time, but Lohman posted it on Facebook when President Trump nominated Barr in 2018, and it took on “a life of its own,” Lohman told me Tuesday from Austin, where Post researcher Alice Crites tracked him down. The article resurfaces in social media each time Barr does something unconscionable — which is often.

The 1991 description of 1963 Barr’s harassment sounds eerily like the 2020 Barr. He “lived to make me miserable,” with a “vicious fixation on my little Jewish ‘commie’ ass,” Lohman alleged, because he wore peace and racial-equality pins. He said the four Barr brothers picketed the school’s “Junior Carnival” because proceeds went to the NAACP, and he alleged that Billy Barr, the “most fanatic rightist” of the four, later “teamed with the New York City riot police to attack anti-war protesters and ‘long hairs.’ ”

3. I dispise bullies

I was bullied in school because I would defend other bullied kids.

The bullies never harassed me one on one, they came after me in groups of three or more and I fought them until I was overcome.

I made it a point to never lose eye contact with the ringleader bully
as I fought the best I could.

Bullies murdered my cat.
I will never forgive bullies.

There were bullies at school, bullies in my neighborhood and my father was a bully.
I stayed in the woods hidden in it to feel safe and my cat was with me as my father asshole would hurt him. I didn't trust him around my cat.

The bullies got hurt when I fought them when I could fight them. I had enough hate for them to make them feel pain
But the numbers were against me.

I dispise bullies with my whole heart and to me they should be put on an island than left to die there.

If I could embody the goddess Sekhmet I would kill every bully on Earth.

Bullies never grow empathy or change because of thier personality type which makes them unwilling to co-exist with others peacefully who do feel empathy. I do not waste my time caring about narcissists authoritarians or sociopaths.

5. I was tormented and beaten bloody by a few like Barr in middle and high school.

They called me queerbait.

Quitting high school was one of the best decisions I've ever made. My only regret is waiting until I was sixteen.

For the most part the bullies never changed.

Some of them are "successful" in the Bill Barr sense, speeding down the highway to hell where they will be raped in every orifice upon their arrival by thousands of demons with cholla cactus penises for thousands of years. A greater number are already dead, their status in the afterlife unknown to me.

6. The one thing to keep in mind about bullies is that they are insecure, weak cowards at heart.

If anyone ever really stood up to either Trump or Barr, wasn't intimidated by their outward bravado, and went after them mercilessly, they would crumble. I don't know why people can't see the truth about these two.

Mitch and Stephen Miller are the same. So are most republican bullies. You have to see them for what they are and treat them accordingly. They would break down in tears if they ever had to face someone who really took them to task. You all saw what a blubbering mess Brett Kavanaugh turned into when he was being raked over the coals. The rest of them are no different. They are entitled little prisses who would curl up in a little ball and cry if they ever had to face real hardship or censure by someone stronger and more righteous.

Funny that Barr picked on the Jewish kid given the fact that his father was Jewish (he converted to Catholicism). I am sure he must have had some insecurities about that and overcompensated. Trump was well off, but he was a Queens boy and the son of a slum lord and an immigrant who started out as domestic help. I think these men both have deep inferiority complexes and have ended up being bullies to over-compensate for their insecurities. Just MHO. They are both deeply damaged people and need to be removed from their positions before they can do any more damage.
