(7,897 posts)He can't get enough of the focus it puts on him to pretend to be a good old boy race fan. The stolen macho suits his misogynist ego, and the assumed mantle of racist southern racing fits his prancing nazi tv image.
However, NASCAR has grown up a lot since the night Jimmy Carter invited drivers and owners to dinner at the White House. Although it may be fairly said that some of the fans have a bit of growing to do.
Meanwhile, the F1 world champion for the last 3 years is Lewis Hamilton, a black Englishman who has won 6 f1 titles. The world is not the same as either beer commercials or red-neck pontificators would have us believe.
