The Quaranteen Generation?

My granddaughter had a small celebration of her thirteenth birthday.
Four other kids, socially distanced.

My grandson graduated from high school by receiving his diploma at a pre-scheduled time, on campus, with only his family in attendance.
Again, he had a small celebration, 4 friends, distanced.

It's a very different world now.

did I ever tell you my drive-in story from high school? My bf sneaked his younger brother (parents were away) into the drive-in via the trunk, then refused to let him out because he was angry the boy had snitched on him earlier. After much banging from the trunk and pleading from me (I can't watch a movie with all that noise), he let him out. Crazy!

It was on hold for a while, but it's on now. We won't be able to attend. We are in wrong age/health demographic and there are folks on the other side of the family who still think the virus is a hoax. Can't take that chance.

I don't know when I will see my two daughters again. One in NYC and the other in Colorado.

Our daughter's family is just outside of Boston.
I'm 78 and Miz t. is 75.

We may never see the rest of our family in person.
