... Gov. Doug Ducey avoided taking a direct stance on the issue on Thursday, following Secretary of State Katie Hobb's call Monday to relocate the statue to storage. Instead, the Republican governor said such a decision should be made through a "public process."
"There is a public process to be able to put something in to Wesley Bolin plaza or on state property," Ducey said. "I think there should be a public process if someone wants to go the alternative route."
Ducey did not elaborate on what such a public process should entail. His statement marked a slight adjustment from previous years in his position on the issue of Confederate monuments ...

And there was the Battle of Picacho pass, where a small group of rebels ran into a much larger Union force and got their asses kicked..
