Why are they so behind? How hard is it to update a graphic?

(13,110 posts)2. Apparently it is quite difficult.
They did have time to report on Melania's prenup.

Remember also that even worldometer's number are based on someone reporting to whatever source they use.
Since states like Florida, Georgia and Texas among others we know are not reporting real numbers, any reporting is to some degree wrong.
Real number of cases is probably closer to 3 million with deaths probably closer to 150,000 or 200,000.

(14,494 posts)6. Numbers are all over the place, depending on who you chose to believe.
This morning:
WHO:
1,988,646 cases
112,810 deaths
Worldmeter:
2,090,542 cases
116,063 deaths
Infection2020.com
2,033,858 cases
114,659 deaths
Covidtracking.com:
2,013,778 cases
107,803 deaths
I suppose it depends on the time of day the data was assembled and the source of data.
Competent political leadership would help insure consistency in methods and reporting. Sadly, we don't have it and many other nations don't either.
Regardless, the numbers are horrible and heartbreaking.
